Prosys OPC UA Client & Simulation Server 2.2.0 released
14.07.2015
New versions of our two handy OPC UA tools have been released today. Both of these tools are free applications.
Both applications were updated to use the new Java SDK 2.2.0, whereas the previous releases were still using SDK version 2.0.0. Since then, the SDK has been certified and the respective improvements are now also applied to these applications.
Both applications now also support the Basic256Sha256 security policy. Note that not all applications from other manufacturers support that policy properly, yet, so you may experience some interoperability issues when using that policy.
Prosys OPC UA Client
The main improvement in the new SDK is related to reconnection capabilities after communication breaks and the UA Client application should now recover from all breaks more reliably, as well.
Although, the application still requires Java to be preinstalled it no longer requires the Unlimited Jurisdiction Policy files to be updated to the JRE, in order to enable 256 bit encryption.
